Lucrative book deals, TV appearances and MILLIONS in cash: A taste of what the next Great British Bake Off winner can look forward to

They've crumbled over cookies, they've perfected pies and poured their heart and soul into every single creation they've had to make in the Great British Bake Off tent.
But the blood, sweat and many, many tears will be worth it for at least one of the three final contestants; whomever ends up winning the first ever edition of the show to air on Channel 4 tonight.
Almost all of the previous Bake Off winners have gone on to score lucrative book deals, glamorous TV appearances and ambassadors for corporate giants, with some raking in hundreds of thousands - if not millions - in cash.
FEMAIL looks back at seven years' worth of GBBO winners to reveal who has gone on to launch very successful careers in television, like Nadiya Hussain, and who has kept out of the spotlight since their victory.

When series one aired, the Great British Bake Off was not the must-watch global phenomenon that it is today.
Only three million people tuned in to watch former debt collector Edd Kimber, from Yorkshire, win the first ever series.
And as Edd revealed in an interview, 'there was nothing set up for the winners' - so there was no instant book deal, or well-paid corporate appearances on the horizon.
It didn't matter to Edd though, as he still quit his job. However, it was three months before the show actually aired.
